Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
SermonFire ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.
What We Collect
- Account information you provide (name, email, ministry name, denomination).
- Content you create in the app (sermon bundles, series plans, branding settings, style profile).
- Content you upload (sermon manuscripts, audio, video, YouTube links) for transcription and standardization.
- Usage and device data needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Billing details handled by our payment processor — we never see card numbers.
How We Use It
To deliver the SermonFire service, generate content on your behalf, send transactional email tied to your account, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell your data and we do not train third-party AI models on your uploads or generated bundles.
Subprocessors
We use a small set of trusted third parties to run SermonFire. Each processes only the data needed for its function:
- Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, authentication, file storage.
- Anthropic — AI model API for sermon generation, standardization, and style analysis.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (welcome, usage alerts, receipts).
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
- Formspree — affiliate application form intake.
- Slack — internal team notifications for affiliate applications (no user PII shared beyond name and email you submit).
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookie-free traffic analytics on public pages.
Data Retention
- Account and profile data: kept while your account is active.
- Sermon bundles, uploads, and series plans: kept while your account is active; you can delete any item at any time.
- Billing records: kept for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting law.
- Transactional email logs: kept for 90 days for deliverability troubleshooting.
- Deleted accounts: content is removed within 30 days of account deletion, except billing records above.
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data (most fields are editable in your profile).
- Export your bundles as PDF or plain text at any time.
- Delete your account and associated content.
- Object to processing or ask us to restrict it.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@sermonfire.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Our analytics provider (Plausible) does not set cookies and does not track individual users. We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies.
Children
SermonFire is intended for adults involved in ministry. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
